Our year begins in the heart of winter, where the fires of Koleda and the masked rituals of Eshka ward off the darkness, leading into the hallowed Epiphany blessing of the waters. As the earth awakens, we embrace the protective threads of Martinka, the humble reconciliation of Prochka (Forgiveness Sunday), and the melodic processions of the Lazarines that herald the coming of Easter.
The cycle continues through the heat of summer and the harvest of fall, where we honor the elements through the Rain Dance of the Dudule, the celebration of Sveta Petka, and the ancient observance of the Solstices and Equinoxes. Beyond these seasonal markers, the fabric of village life is woven together by the sacred milestones of Marriage Rituals, the rhythmic labor of Kијани (spinning wool), and the deep-seated Religion and Village Values that have guided our ancestors.
